finally

I've finally made a Tumblr for my body progress. You may notice that all of the post below has "previously posted" on the top of it, why? because they use to be posted on my Blogger from a good 2 months ago. I haven't had much time to update, but today (being the laziest day of my life) I have found time...

For the past 2 weeks I have been mainly working out at school in my hour and a half weight training class. With work I honestly haven't had time to do much else. I've also YET to start my period, which is really annoying because it means my birth control hasn't gotten out of me which means I can't exactly loose weight yet. The only "up" for this month is that my cardio is much better and I'm working out regularly and eating moderately healthier.

^This is my picture for today, and I'm actually pretty ok with it if you look at the first one I posted (at the bottom) on June 10th 2010. I plan on staying strong with everything and sweating my butt off every Mon. Wed. and Fri. at school. I'm evening thinking about waking up early every morning to do the Mari Winsor Slimming Pilates. I'll need some sure will power to make this dream come true.

Somehow I need to try and work some Insanity in there too, Anthony's been wanting to come over and his sleep schedule and my school and work schedule aren't working out. We'll figure something out though; spending at least $300 for programs that I don't have time to use does not make me smile.

Wish me luck.

I started using The Easy Shaper at my Aunts and realized how effective it really was. It was a combination of muscle workouts and a bit of pilates. I had thought about buying The Easy Shaper for a while until I saw the infomercial for Slimming Pilates. I bought it in a heartbeat (I need to stop staying up late at night). I had totally forgotten about it in the morning thinking it was a dream...until I checked my online banking. Woops. I received absolutely no email concerning the shipment and I read a lot online afterwards how it's a scam..so I decided to wait it out. Yesterday it arrived at my door and when I checked my online banking again the 1st payment of "$29.95 + s&h" wasn't there, so I don't know what's going on. I just know that I love the product!
I worked out last night with it and this morning. The videos are a little short for me (considering that I'm use to the 40min videos on Insanity), but they defiantly leave you worn out. I've honestly never done pilates before, but I do very much enjoy it, and recommend it.

Since I will be doing Insanity and Slimming Pilates I expect a bit more results even though my birth control has yet to ware off. I've just really enjoyed being more active and just feeling healthier in general. In School this year I also have weight training 3 days a week. I don't want to over do myself so I plan on making a chart to get everything equaled out.

I'm very appreciative that I have friends like Anthony and Frank to keep me going. I'm still setting my goal of wearing a size 11 in jeans and losing around 20 to 30 lbs. Hopefully by Christmas I will reach my expectations. This school year is going to start out with a much healthier and positive Lauren.

I also plan on blogging more since school is starting back in 8 days. This is my last year, and I am defiantly excited!

-In about a week or so I'll start sharing more pictures. My birth control stops Mon. Aug 9th, and Since I've been on it for over a year and a half now it'll take a good month for all of it to be out of my system; but like I said, I'll start posting soon. Lets just hope I don't get super bloated from my new cycle of monthly visits!

The program is great, but depo (my birth control), has prevented me from going any further. Starting in the middle of August my birth control should wear off and I should be set for even more exciting results! I also have not given up on eating healthier and working out regularly. Frank and Anthony come over almost every night to workout with me and even though I'm not loosing any more weight I can see a difference in my sides and stomach. I just hope everything works itself out. I just can't give up.
Schools starting back to, that means a little bit more blogging. :]

I've also had Anthony and Frank to accompany me most of the time. My eating habits haven't progressed like I would have liked; some days I've only eaten one meal. Boo on me. I bought a new bathing suit though, as you can see below, I'm just too excited for the beach. Whether I look fabulous or not, I'm still going to be rocking a bikini! The beach trip starts in 11 days, so I better pound all of the exercising and healthy foods I can into myself.
Week #2: Week two, like I said has been a bit disappointing, but I have made up with the time I actually did exercise. I started some of the videos that were meant for month two, and boy did the sweat run. I'm going to try and start working out in the mornings aswell. Getting home at 9pm and tired from work isn't that great of a recipe for a good workout.
The Results: I bought a pair of capris about a week ago and they were tight, too tight, now they fit fine and I love them! As well in the picture below, my butt has changed quite a bit from the first photo. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what I look like after all of this!

My breakfast starts at 2pm with a piece of whole wheat toast with peanut butter and banana which is 300 calories, lunch (or dinner) is at 6pm and includes mini weight watchers pizza a fiber bar and cantaloupe or watermelon...which is only around 400 calories. I'm only consuming around 700 calories a day give or take. A workout for Insanity burns 1000 calories. I'm loosing more than I am eating. This is extremely unhealthy, and I found out how unhealthy when I was about to throw up this morning when trying to work out. I'm not fueling my body with anything. I need to plan out my meals through the day and try to get around my hours at work.
When not at work I'm practically doing the same thing, only eating 2 meals a day. I need to switch my mindset to 5 or 6 small meals a day. It will help my metabolism and get me though these crazy workouts. Oh, and start buying some vegetables!
Week #1: The workouts for this whole week were very challenging for me. It skipped back and forth so I knew what was coming up, but nothing of it was a break from the last. The stretching though was enjoyable, I've always been stretchable, at least I can say I liked something besides my results. Besides that, I have never sweat so much in my life!
Results: In one week I have lost 2 inches from both my hips and waist. I also would have to wear a bra fitter that was around 2in to have bra fit comfortably. Two days ago I realized that I had put my bra on without it and my bra fit perfectly. I am fully happy with my outcome, and proud to say a 38 B!

I should feel confident when I step into the world and not have a care of what people think; but weighing 200lbs certainly prevents me doing all of this. Two weeks ago I order a little something called Insanity. In only one week it has showed me that change and goals are possible and by all means reachable. For the next 2 months I will be posting weekly photo's of myself and tell you how mentally and emotionally this dedication to being healthier is changing everything about me.
The Program: This over the top workout program called "Insanity" was put together by Shaun T with the help of Beach Body. It's a 60 day total body makeover program that includes 10 workout discs. The secret to having amazing results is something called "max interval training," instead of moderate bursts of energy as most programs deliver, Insanity is one huge continuous burst energy with short periods of rest.
Day #1: I honestly thought that my first day of Insanity was going to be hell...and that it was. IT was only a 30min fitness test and I had tremendous trouble with it.
My Photo:

This is a humiliating photo of me, but seeing this allows me to push harder then I ever would.
The Goal: I have a goal of wearing a size 11 in jeans and/or losing 20lbs in this 60 day program. I'm not asking to be a stick figure or to lose every ounce of fat in my body. I want to be healthy; I'm only 17 and I get winded going up a flight of stairs.
